Responsible for increasing student achievement. Main functions include but are not limited to: Assisting students with developing skils appropriate for the age Implementation of the IEP Planning and implementation of standards-based instruction Establishing a positive classroom environment and culture for learning Analyzing data and action planning Consistently communicating with stakeholders

Building Level Administrators & District Level Administrators Qualifications:
Education/Certification Professional Educator's Licence (PEL) w/Early Childhood Special Education approval Bachelor's Degree in Education Bilingual Education preferred Knowledge/Skills Thorough understanding of early childhood education Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to special education Thorough knowledge of instructional strategies that lead to increased student achievement Thorough knowledge of the content being taught Strong planning and implementation skills Communicate clearly orally and in writing Strong collaboration skills Data analysis skills Knowledge/implementation of restorative discipline practices Strong understanding of equitable classroom practices High expectations for all students Other Comply with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior; serve as a role model for students and other staff Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job Other duties as assigned
