Job Description
Wesley's Bright Beginnings is a play-based preschool located at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington, Illinois. We are currently seeking a Lead Teacher for our four- five-year-old/PreK class for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in late August. If you are passionate about Early Childhood education and desire to contribute to the educational enrichment and development of young children, this is the perfect part-time position for you! Please include three references with resume, two professional and one personal. The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8:30 am - 12:00 pm A degree in education or early childhood development is required. The lead teacher is responsible for planning and implementing an age-appropriate play-based curriculum for children who will be entering kindergarten the following year. A teaching assistant will work with the lead teacher to implement the plans. Background check, TB test, and CPR training are required upon hiring, as well as completion of on-line trainings for DCFS mandated reporters and sexual harassment in the workplace.
