You will be responsible for encouraging children's intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you! CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain BA Degree in Early Childhood Development (Preferred) Child Development Associate or (CDA) Credential Completed 12 core ECE Units Infant/toddler Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors Have the ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with not only children, but their parents and your peers.
Classroom management skills:
ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment, All center staff applicants must meet Illinois specific guidelines for the role
Responsibilites:
Evaluate student progress Plan curriculum with varying developmental needs Track academic performance Guide and mentor other members of the teaching staff Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students Meet with co-teachers in the classroom weekly for lesson planning development Attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly staff meetings and trainings
