Lead Preschool Teacher Reach For The Stars Daycare - 3.0 Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $20 - $24 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Professional Educator License Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing a curriculum that promotes literacy education, behavior management, and overall child welfare. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with parents and staff to ensure each child's needs are met in a safe and engaging setting. Must have a P.E.L. License in order to qualify for the position Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Utilize Montessori principles to encourage independent learning and exploration. Provide individualized tutoring and support to children as needed. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students. Foster literacy education through engaging activities that promote reading and writing skills. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and progress. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Experience Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings is preferred. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other early childhood education philosophies is a plus. Strong skills in lesson planning, behavior management, and child welfare practices. A background in literacy education is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to support children's learning experiences.
