Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education as an Infant Montessori Teacher, working with children ages 0-3. Guide young learners through their first years in a dedicated and nurturing Montessori setting that values independence, creative exploration, and holistic development. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in fostering the growth and confidence of infants and toddlers. Leverage your Montessori expertise to create engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that support each child's unique learning journey.
Qualifications & Skills Sought:
Montessori Infant/Toddler Credential from a MACTE-accredited program (AMS, AMI, or equivalent) Meets Illinois DCFS staff qualification requirements High school diploma or GED (minimum) Understanding of human growth and development, particularly ages 0-3 Familiarity with Montessori philosophy, teaching methods, and classroom materials Ability to observe, assess, and respond to individual developmental needs Adept at individualized instruction and classroom leadership Passion for cultivating a warm, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment
