Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Early Childhood Floating Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation. The Early Childhood Teacher will fill in the lead staff and is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. This role supports each child's growth socially, emotionally, physically, and academically while maintaining compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
Duties:
Preparing educational materials required to implement the daily activity plan. Organizing developmentally appropriate physical environment to promote active learning. Observing, recording, and reporting individual and group behavior. Daily communication as needed with parents to promote open communication and parental trust. Treating each child with dignity and respect. Helping each child to become aware of his or her role as an integral part of the group. Aiding individual children who experience difficulty in the group or who temporarily lose their physical or emotional control. Assisting children with self-care activities including changing clothes, washing hands, etc. Supervising personnel assigned to assist with daily group activities for the children. Completing and following licensing requirements designated to the individual or children. Assist with meal and snack service. Remaining with the children until the child/staff ratio meets the state licensing requirement and you are approved to leave by a director. Responsible for seeing the room is clean and orderly and assist in assuring the overall appearance of the Center is acceptable. Teach respect for the classroom and supplies by encouraging the children to take care of them. Skills Demonstrate an understanding of developmental practice by the planning and conducting of developmentally appropriate daily activities. Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood settings or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education. Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and special education. Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Requirement Must be able to pass a background check Must have at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university 6 of these hours must be directly related to
Early Childhood Education Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
