We are looking for teachers who love children, communicate well with families, and help create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Our teachers play a very important role in helping children feel safe, loved, known, and excited to learn each day. Responsibilities As a teacher, you will: Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment Greet children and families with kindness and professionalism Supervise children closely and maintain safe ratios at all times Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning activities Support children with social-emotional development, routines, and transitions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Communicate positively with parents at drop-off and pick-up Follow DCFS licensing standards and school policies Work as part of a team with other teachers and leadership Help children grow through play, structure, consistency, and care What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Loving, patient, and dependable Positive and professional with families and coworkers Comfortable working with young children Able to follow classroom routines and safety procedures Engaged, alert, and active during supervision A team player with a great attitude Passionate about early childhood education Requirements Must meet DCFS childcare employment requirements (CDA, CCP, Associates in Early Childhood, Bachelor's in Education, etc) Prior childcare, preschool, daycare, or classroom experience preferred Early childhood education coursework preferred, but not always required depending on the position Must be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts Must pass required background checks Must complete required trainings Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
