Job Description

Spero Family Services is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education teachers to join our team. Bright Start Early Learning Center provides outstanding childcare for children 6 weeks through preschool. Key Duties:
Program Operations:
Under the direction of the classroom Teacher, assist with the day-to-day operations of the program and ensure daily care, welfare, safety and education of all children. Duties may include implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities, arranging and maintaining the classroom, preparing materials and supplies, regularly communicating with parents, and reporting any concerns.
Direct Care:
Assist with the direct supervision of children in assigned classroom. Duties may include disciplining, counseling, diapering and changing of clothes, potty training, meals, and administering medication.
Documentation:
Ensure all documentation and reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Duties may include daily reports and maintaining records.
Other:
This position may also serve as a backup Food Service Coordinator. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 19 years old, valid driver's license or ID, and meet applicable DCFS licensing requirements. Must have, or be able to obtain, a Food Handler's Certificate.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and previous experience working with children. Ability to obtain a driver's clearance.
Skills:
Must be organized, have good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Miscellaneous:
As an employee of Spero Family Services, you are expected to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. $17.00 - $21.25 per hour
