You will be responsible for monitoring and teaching the children in our program, developing a curriculum that the children will respond to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school. If you love working with kids and have previous experience in early childhood education, you will fit in with our nurturing team.

The right candidate will be energetic and experienced in developing safe, fun, and nurturing environments for children and their families. Since children's needs are constantly changing, you must also be highly organized, flexible, and able to demonstrate compassion and patience at the drop of a hat. Inspire a love of learning and make a positive difference in each child's development and growth by creating and leading educational programs for our children. Create a safe, healthy, and welcoming learning environment. Build trusting relationships and develop open lines of communication with staff, parents, and children. Supervise classroom activities in a proactive, patient, and loving manner. Provide unparalleled customer service. Ensure full compliance with Hummingbird Lane Daycare curricula, procedures, and standards. Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents Create activities that are fun and educational for the children Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child Deliver reports on potential concerns about students as to management as needed Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for students Required Experience Lead teachers must have 60 college credits w/6 hours related to ECE or Child Development. (OR) 30 hours of college credits w/ 6 hrs related to ECE or Child Development with 1 yr experience in a licensed center and be 19 yrs of age Hands-on teaching, caregiving, or leadership experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding organizational abilities High level of flexibility and willingness to work all shifts
