Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher for our 5 day PreK class in the Fall of 2026. As a teacher at GGPS, you will play an important role in shaping the minds and lives of youngest learners. You will create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive in all areas of development. This position is M-F 8:45 a.m

Responsibilities :
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote growth and development of our students.
  • Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity
  • Foster positive relationships with children and parents
  • Document educational experiences and display children's work in a manner that highlights students learning
  • Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, appearance, and practice
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate educational programs and events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Follow all licensing regulations and adhere to the policies and procedures of the center
Experience:
Applicants applying for the teacher position must be Lead Teacher Qualified according to DCFS guidelines: 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of college credits with 6 semester (9 quarter hours) in Early Childhood education or: One year of Early Childhood experience and 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college credits with 6 semester hours (9 quarter) hours in Early Childhood Education.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • CDA•Minimum 1-2 years of experience in teaching Preschool aged children•Strong organizational skills•Effective and efficient time management•CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
