Job Description

Learn & Grow Academy is expanding! ( Round Lake Heights) We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, manage classroom activities, and support the social-emotional growth of children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive foundation for children's lifelong learning journey, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, i Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and supports children's emotional well-being. Engage with children through hands-on activities tailored to their developmental stages, including toddler care and early intervention strategies. Collaborate with families and colleagues to monitor each child's progress, communicate effectively about their needs, and support individualized learning plans. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in line with childcare regulations. Incorporate specialized techniques for working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support through early intervention programs. Assess student progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate and adapt teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet developmental milestones while adhering to safety standards. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
