  • Temporary, Full-time Learning Connections Preschool is looking for a mature, experienced, nurturing teacher to join our Infant Room Team!
Applicants must have a passion for caring for our littlest ones, with knowledge of milestones, a gentle demeanor, and a love for cuddling! We are a creative, hands on private Preschool/Extended Day School that offers the opportunity to work with children in a dynamic, fun, and educational environment. If you have a passion for working with children, are a dedicated professional looking to provide the best education foundation and care for children, and can work collaboratively, we would love to have you join our team!
Responsibilities:
Create and implement weekly educational lesson plans with a co-teachers who follow the Illinois Early Learning Standards, meet the individual needs of each child, and assess developmental needs of students Maintain a healthy, safe, and welcoming environment Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and staff Contribute professionally and collaboratively with other staff to promote the general well-being of the school Maintain the required 15 hours/calendar year of continuing education
Qualifications:
Self-motivated, flexible, and energetic Experience creating engaging lesson plans Must meet DCFS requirements for Teacher Qualification 60 semester hours with 6 or more hours in course related directly to ECE child care and/or child development from birth to age 6 Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication skills First Aid training and CPR certified a plus Please have a copy of college transcripts and a sample lesson plan available upon request for interview.
