Job Overview Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Precious Angels Christian Academy - Schaumburg, IL Precious Angels Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our loving and faith-based learning environment in Schaumburg, IL. We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and age-appropriate educational experience that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. In this role, you will be instrumental in laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning, guiding our students through engaging activities, and instilling Christian values.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with Precious Angels Christian Academy's educational philosophy and prepares children for kindergarten. Create a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and spiritual growth. Plan and lead engaging activities, including Bible stories, arts and crafts, music, movement, and outdoor play. Foster social and emotional development through positive reinforcement, conflict resolution, and promoting cooperative play. Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents about their child's development, academic achievements, and any concerns. Maintain open and collaborative communication with colleagues, parents, and school administration. Integrate Christian principles and values into daily lessons and activities. Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom. Participate in professional development opportunities and school events as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience and certifications). Previous experience working as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher or in a similar early childhood setting. Demonstrated understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A genuine love for children and a commitment to their holistic development. Ability to integrate Christian faith and values into the curriculum and classroom culture. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with faith-based education. Knowledge of Conscious Discipline or similar positive behavior guidance approaches.
