This is a multi-age room of infants through two year olds. Shorewood early childhood center is looking to hire a preschool teacher that is hard working, reliable and looking for a career in the early childhood field. Must have a high school diploma/GED, ECE degree. Experience a plus but not required. Must meet teacher requirements per DCFS. Would prefer someone that is Director qualified. When you join our team at Step by Step you will: Teach day to day classroom operations. Implement curriculum, follow all company and DCFs policies and procedures. Supervise the safety and well-being of the children at all times, indoors and outdoors. Serve as a role model for children. Create a safe, nurturing environment for the children. Model appropriate behaviors. This position is for a multi-age classroom.

Required Skills:

Be Teacher Qualified or Have a CDA. Must be able to pass background check through fingerprinting. DCFS physical with proof of immunizations and TB test. Various training's such as, First Aid/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Food Handler and SIDS and Shaken Baby. Follow all DCFS standards. Comply with NAC accreditation standards. Cultivate positive relationships and communication with families, children and co-workers.
