$13.25 per hour (Performance-based raise eligible at 90-day review)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:55 AM - 5:00 PM (Hours depend on child enrollment numbers); Closed for major holidays
Shift Detail :
This position requires working as the designated classroom closer every weekday. As the closer, you will be working independently and on your own at the end of the day. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and independent teacher who possesses a strong Christian faith and values to join our team as our daily afternoon closer. Your primary role will be leading our 1-2's classroom and transitionally combining with children ages 1-5 during the afternoon hours. Because you will be on your own during the closing shift, the ability to work independently and manage a classroom solo is critical. You will serve as a faith-filled role model, creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment where children can learn, grow, and build a lasting foundation of faith. This position begins as part-time but offers the potential to transition into a full-time role. Responsibilities Serve as the sole afternoon closer every weekday, working independently to manage the facility and ensure the safe, orderly sign-out of all remaining children. Manage afternoon transitions by combining and supervising mixed-age groups (ages 1-5) on your own as enrollment winds down. Share daily age-appropriate Bible lessons, stories, and worship songs to nurture children's spiritual growth. Integrate Christian values, prayer, and faith-focused concepts into daily routines. [ Support the development of age-appropriate social-emotional skills Supervise and ensure the safety of children during all classroom activities. Implement engaging daily activities, crafts, and playtime routines. Assist with mealtime, snack, and diaper changes. Complete daily closing duties independently, ensuring the classroom environment is left clean, organized, and properly sanitized for the next day. Communicate effectively with parents at pickup regarding their child's daily progress. Required Qualifications A strong Christian faith and commitment to living out Christian values. Proven ability to work independently and confidently manage a classroom on your own. Exceptional reliability and availability to lock up and close the facility every weekday afternoon. Ability to teach faith-based lessons to young children in an inspiring way. Must be able to pass a standard background check. Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of professional daycare experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up children as needed. Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Ability to safely climb stairs. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Previous experience in children's ministry, Sunday School, or vacation Bible school. Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid Certification.
