Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Early Childhood Afternoon Closer Assistant to support our vibrant childcare environment for children from birth to five years old. Duties Assist with the smooth transition of children during the afternoon closing period, ensuring they feel secure and cared for Support classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning and social interactions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences and any concerns that arise during the closing hours Support teachers and caregivers with classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving tasks tailored to children's individual needs Help with diapering, infant care, toddler care, and other childcare responsibilities as needed Document daily activities, incidents, or observations accurately in accordance with program policies Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool, childcare, of roles is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Experience with classroom management, behavior management strategies, and caregiving techniques for infants through preschoolers Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism Strong communication skills to engage positively with children, families, and staff Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within a dynamic childcare setting Join us as an Early Childhood Afternoon Closer Assistant and be part of a team dedicated to enriching young lives through nurturing care and early learning!
