Job Description
Position Summary Sunshine Corner Daycare and Preschool is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with infants, understands child development, and is committed to providing a safe, loving, and engaging learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 months. The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining classroom management, ensuring compliance with all state licensing regulations, and building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following educational requirements: Minimum of 60 completed hours toward a CDA (Child Development Associate) Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Additional Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months experience working in a state licensed childcare facility Strong understanding of infant development and safe sleep practices Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families Must pass all required background checks and screenings CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesChild Care & Supervision Provide attentive, responsive, and nurturing care to infants Maintain constant supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children Follow all state licensing regulations, center policies, and health/safety procedures Implement safe sleep practices at all times Curriculum & Development Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Observe and document developmental milestones and classroom activities Classroom Management Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment Prepare bottles, feed infants, and assist with diapering and daily care routines Ensure classroom materials and supplies are properly maintained Family Communication Communicate professionally and positively with parents/guardians Provide daily updates regarding feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental progress Build trusting relationships with families and coworkers Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with administration and fellow staff members Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities Assist with maintaining a positive and supportive workplace cultureCompensation Pay Range:
$13.75 - $17.50 per hour Compensation is dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience.
