Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of young children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire curiosity, promote learning, and ensure a safe, engaging space where children can thrive. As the primary caregiver and educator, you will collaborate with families and staff to create a positive and enriching experience for every child. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth classroom management and behavior management strategies are in place to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. Provide exceptional toddler care and preschool experiences by nurturing social-emotional skills, early intervention techniques, and child welfare practices. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support individual learning needs, including special education considerations. Manage classroom routines, including lesson planning, standardized testing preparations if applicable, and documenting developmental milestones. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare quality and classroom management. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, health protocols, and licensing requirements to maintain a secure environment for children. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments; preschool experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development that includes literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods. Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate tutoring techniques and standardized testing when necessary. Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in child welfare or Montessori certification is advantageous.
