Lead Teacher

Lead Preschool Teacher (Full-Time) Join an award-winning early learning center in the heart of Downtown South Bend ! We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and certified Lead Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on fostering a vibrant learning environment for children aged 2.5 to 4 years old utilizing a curriculum that encourages independence and discovery.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum Implementation:

Create and lead daily classroom activities based on the HighScope curriculum , ensuring a balance of child-initiated and teacher-guided learning.

Classroom Management:

Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized environment that meets state licensing and accreditation standards.

Assessment & Observation:

Monitor and document child development through regular observations and assessments to tailor instruction to individual needs.

Family Engagement:

Build strong, professional relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and progress updates.

Mentorship:

Lead and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure cohesive classroom operations.

Qualifications Certification:

Valid CDA (Child Development Associate), Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Experience:

Proven track record of success in a licensed preschool or early learning setting.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of HighScope principles (Plan-Do-Review, Key Developmental Indicators) is highly preferred.

Compliance:

Ability to pass all required background checks and meet health requirements for childcare providers in Indiana.

Soft Skills:

High energy, patience, and a genuine love for supporting the growth of young learners.
