Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher for a direct placement role within a dynamic early childhood education environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences by implementing innovative curricula and applying best practices in childhood development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for teaching young learners, and experience working with diverse student populations. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development, behavior management, and child welfare. Utilize curriculum development techniques to create engaging activities tailored to toddlers and preschool-aged children. Manage classroom routines effectively to ensure safety, organization, and smooth transitions throughout the day. Incorporate specialized strategies for children requiring early intervention or with special education needs. Assess student progress regularly through observations and standardized testing; adjust instructional approaches accordingly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones and address individual needs. Support children's physical activity and promote healthy habits through teaching physical education activities. Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, and lesson plans. Uphold high standards of childcare by ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and best practices in daycare settings. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field; Montessori certification is a plus. Proven classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Experience with curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy, math, and physical education. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when appropriate. Experience working in private school environments or similar educational institutions preferred. Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and inclusive teaching practices.
