Floater Position:

This position is for a qualified teacher floater/assistant that will complete daily chores, work in different classrooms for staff breaks and help close at the end of the day from 10-530 or on occasion a full day of 7:30-5:30 with a 30 min break. Requirements for ability to give breaks for teachers include: TB Skin Test, KBI background check, complete trainings required for licensing and have a minimum of 6 months experience with Infants, Toddlers and Preschool age to qualify as a teacher assistant. Responsibilities:

Follow Abilene Childcare Learning Center, Inc. and CACFP procedures and guidelines when working on a job. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Follow all KDHE guidelines and regulations. Follow chore list accurately and in timely manner. Staff bathroom breaks as needed. Active supervision for children while giving staff breaks. Follow instructions well while assisting in classrooms. Learn how to close classrooms. Understand child development. Communication skills with staff, parents, and directors. Maintain a professional demeanor during shifts.

Experience:

6 months having worked with ages 0-5.
