Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp community as a Summer Camp Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities and meaningful interactions. In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that fosters childhood development, encourages creativity, and promotes positive behavior. Your energy and passion will help shape memorable summer experiences for young learners while supporting their social, emotional, and physical growth. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games to ensure an engaging experience for all children. Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper supervision techniques and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions. Provide first aid when necessary, responding promptly to minor injuries or health concerns in accordance with established procedures. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by adapting activities and providing individualized attention. Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules, coordinate group activities, and ensure smooth camp operations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise during camp sessions. Follow state licensing guidelines at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, or camp environments is highly preferred. Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles. Certification in first aid and CPR is required. Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching, tutoring, sports coaching, or babysitting roles. Knowledge of early childhood education practices and experience working with diverse groups of children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive camp atmosphere. $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
