GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Floater provides support to the childcare center by assisting in various classrooms as needed. This role is crucial in maintaining a consistent and nurturing environment for the children. The Floater will step in to cover breaks, absences, or to provide extra help during busy times. They will ensure that the children's needs are met and that classroom routines are followed in alignment with the center's Christian values.
Responsibilities:
Assist in various classrooms as directed by the Center Director or Assistant Director. Help implement daily activities and routines in the classroom. Supervise and interact with children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Provide support during meal times, diaper changes, and nap times. Assist with classroom cleaning and organization. Follow the center's policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a positive and nurturing environment that reflects the center's Christian values. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other staff members. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Be flexible and adaptable to changing needs within the center.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles. Ability to interact positively with children and adults. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. A commitment to the center's Christian values and mission. Must pass a background check and any other required clearances. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
