Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles to support diverse learning needs. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions among children. Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques, ensuring a safe and organized space conducive to learning. Engage with children through teaching physical education, tutoring in core subjects like math, and facilitating activities that promote childhood development. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress, behavioral insights, and developmental milestones clearly and professionally. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform lesson planning. Support children with special education needs by applying behavior management techniques and early intervention practices tailored to individual requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, including classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive social behaviors and emotional well-being. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is preferred. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged. Pay:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour
