Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Toddler/Floater/Break Person to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide flexible support across classrooms, assist with toddler care, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young children. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help maintain a smooth daily routine, support classroom activities, and give teachers the relief they need to focus on their instructional responsibilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development while gaining valuable experience in childcare and classroom management. Responsibilities Support classroom teachers by assisting with daily routines, activities, and transitions for toddlers and young children Provide attentive care during breaks or staff absences, ensuring children are engaged, safe, and happy Help with diapering, feeding, and supervising children during playtime, nap time, and outdoor activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions among children Communicate effectively with staff and parents about children's needs and daily progress Assist with special education needs or individualized plans for children requiring additional support Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities calmly and efficiently Passion for working with children and supporting their growth and learning Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining flexibility in duties Join us in creating a joyful, nurturing space where young children can thrive! Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
