Job Description
Childcare Teacher Position Summary We are seeking dependable, caring, and energetic individuals to join our childcare team. Staff members are responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supporting daily classroom operations and maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios. Positions may include classroom teaching, floating between classrooms, break coverage, and school-age program support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging environment Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios Assist with meals, nap time, playground supervision, and classroom organization Communicate professionally with parents, coworkers, and management Follow all center policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and common areas Work cooperatively as part of a team to support center operations Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous childcare experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, flexible, and professional attitude Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day Must meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff Physical Requirements Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively participate in classroom activities Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors
