Lead Teacher Toddler Room

The purpose of the Lead Teacher is to attend to the immediate needs of the children in his/her care. The Lead Teacher will demonstrate great flexibility and patience in this position. This position falls under the direct supervision of the director of the facility. There may be some supervisory responsibility associated with this position.

This position requirements are:

Basic training in Health and Sanitation Practices CPR and Safety Training Ongoing educational development in early childcare practices. Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field preferred but not required. This position requires that the employee be able to bend and lift small children several times over the course of the day. Candidate must be able to work under such adverse conditions as elevated noise level, potential for illness and high stress situations. CPR/First Aid required. Specific guidelines for this position include but are not limited to the following: Arrive at your assigned location in a timely manner. Provide nurturing care and affection to children in your care. Maintain student and employee confidentiality. Follow the established curriculum and provide learning opportunities for all children. Change and properly dispose of diapers, soiled bedding and clothing Maintain cleanliness of classroom Assist children during mealtime and naptime Provide gentle guidance to children when necessary. Adhere to all employee guidelines as outlined in personnel handbook. This will also include general maintenance of classroom building and furnishings (i.e. mopping, floors, vacuuming carpets and scrubbing bathrooms). All decisions regarding the children and their discipline will be handled by the Lead Teacher. Lead Teachers should maintain courteous professionalism at all times. Center hours are 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individual hours and any other specific task will be assigned by the Center's Director. Company Description
