In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your expertise will help shape the foundational skills that children carry into their future educational journeys, making a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to toddlers' interests and needs, incorporating elements of literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles. Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and learning through play while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to support social-emotional growth. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education needs or accommodations. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare and consistent classroom management. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using standardized testing methods when appropriate to inform instruction and support individualized learning plans. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies to promote child welfare at all times. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on toddler care, preschool experience, or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Proven ability to work with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with young children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Skilled in lesson planning across multiple subjects such as literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and social skills development. Familiarity with Montessori methods and other educational philosophies that support holistic child development. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
