In this role, you will create a vibrant, engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow through a variety of educational and recreational activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a safe, inclusive space that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, and camp programming. Responsibilities Plan and implement fun, educational activities aligned with camp themes and age groups to promote learning and development. Manage classroom or activity spaces effectively, ensuring safety and organization at all times through strong classroom management skills. Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being. Use behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and resolve conflicts constructively. Provide first aid when necessary, following proper protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly. Support children with special needs or in early childhood education programs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements. Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, Christian counseling principles (if applicable), and inclusive participation. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development are essential for creating a safe learning atmosphere. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held. Knowledge of special education practices or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus. Passion for teaching, sports coaching, theater arts, or working with students to foster growth through engaging activities. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities confidently while maintaining a lively and energetic attitude throughout the day. Excellent communication skills combined with a caring approach that aligns with Christian counseling values (if applicable).
