Mother's Day Out - Pre-K3 Teacher St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Lafayette, LA Job Details Part-time From $12 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications School experience Inclusivity High school diploma or GED Teaching experience with young children Classroom behavior management Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, reliable, hardworking, dedicated, and passionate Mother's Day Out Teacher to join our staff for the 2026-2027 school year! The ideal candidate for this position is someone who loves working with children and has a kind, gentle, and caring personality. Experience in childcare or education is required. This position is for our Pre-K3 classroom, and will begin August 10th. Required work hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-2:00pm with the opportunity for extra hours if desired. Starting pay is $12/hour but can be discussed depending on experience and education.
Job Duties:
Learn and maintain the established routine of our Pre-K3 classroom Develop and implement age-appropriate activities Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Provide individualized attention and support to each child Monitor student progress and provide daily updates to parents through the Procare app Collaborate with a co-teacher to create and maintain a cohesive fun learning experience Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment Maintain a positive attitude with children, co-workers, and directors
Qualifications:
Experience in childcare or education is required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Proven experience in classroom management and working with 3 and 4 year old children in a childcare classroom setting Familiarity with and strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Please note that only qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
