Preschool Assistant TeacherJob Overview This is not a "just clock in" childcare position. We are looking for someone dependable, warm, energetic, professional, and genuinely passionate about helping children grow into their best selves. Kinder Haus Montessori is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support early childhood education in a nurturing and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to help implement curriculum, support classroom routines, and foster a positive learning atmosphere for young children. This role is essential in promoting early childhood development, independence, literacy, social-emotional growth, and confidence among preschool-aged children, including children with varying learning styles and developmental needs. Experience in daycare, Montessori classrooms, or private school settings is a plus. We are looking for someone who values kindness, patience, teamwork, and professionalism and who enjoys being an active, positive presence in the classroom each day. Responsibilities Support classroom management and positive behavior guidance strategies to create a calm, structured, and respectful learning environment Assist lead teachers with lesson preparation and curriculum activities focused on literacy, math, practical life, and early childhood development Engage children in meaningful, age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth Help provide individualized support for children with differing developmental needs to encourage successful participation in the classroom Supervise and assist children during daily routines including playtime, meals, rest time, diapering/toileting, and transitions Support classroom activities aligned with Montessori principles and other early childhood educational practices Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers through clear and professional communication Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Observe and communicate children's progress and classroom needs with lead teachers and administration Work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, childcare center, or private school setting preferred Understanding of child development and early childhood education practices Experience supporting children with developmental differences or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management, lesson support, and positive guidance techniques Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience with literacy activities, toddler or preschool care, and Montessori methods is desirable Ability to remain patient, flexible, nurturing, and professional in a busy classroom environment Reliable attendance and a positive attitude are essential Why Join Kinder Haus?
