Infant Teacher

Job Summary:

The Infant Teacher provides a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 12 months). This role assists with daily care, learning activities, and spiritual development in accordance with the mission and values of the Christian facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare & Supervision:

Assist in the direct care of infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring overall comfort and hygiene. Monitor the safety and well-being of infants at all times. Support developmentally appropriate play and sensory activities that promote growth and learning.

Spiritual Nurturing:

Model Christ-like behavior and communicate God's love to children through actions and words. Participate in and assist with Bible songs, prayer, and simple Christian teachings appropriate for infants.

Classroom Support:

Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Assist with preparing and cleaning up materials and activities. Support recordkeeping such as diaper logs, feeding charts, and developmental observations.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with the Lead Teacher to follow daily schedules and lesson plans. Communicate effectively and compassionately with parents/guardians about their child's day and needs. Attend staff meetings, training, and devotionals as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred. CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain upon hire. Must be at least [state minimum] years of age (based on local childcare regulations). A personal commitment to Christian faith and lifestyle. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, sit on the floor, and respond quickly to children's needs.

Pay:

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
