Nursery Worker United Parish Brookline Nursery Brookline, MA Job Details Part-time $21 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification First aid English High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Toddler care Full Job Description The United Parish in Brookline (UPB) is looking for a warm, loving, and welcoming individual to work with infants and toddlers Sunday mornings in our Nursery! Job Summary Nursery staff provide childcare for infants and young children whose families attend church worship on Sunday mornings and other church events. The focus of this job is to provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and fun environment for the youngest children of UPB. Childcare includes playing with the children or directing play, reading to the children, assisting in arts, crafts, and activities, and exhibiting patience, love and compassion. This is a part time job from 9:30-12:30 on Sunday mornings with occasional weeknight shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must have at least one year of experience in child or infant care or other position of care/responsibility. 2. Must be over 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent 3. Must successfully complete church-provided training in child care and safety. 4. A successful CORI clearance is a pre-condition to employment. 5. Must be First Aid/CPR Certified, or willing to participate in certification process 6. Must demonstrate proof of vaccination in accordance with policies and procedures established by United Parish. 7. Must be fluent in spoken English.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

1. Work is performed in the interior of the church building and occasionally, if weather permits, in the outdoor playground space on the church grounds. 2. The ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, as this job involves frequent interactions with babies and toddlers on the floor level. 3. Visual and auditory acuity are also essential for monitoring children's safety 4. Must be able to lift and carry 45lbs up and down a flight of stairs, unassisted. We look forward to meeting you!
