The Lead Teacher plans and implements age-appropriate activities, supervises classroom staff, communicates with families, and ensures the classroom follows licensing and program standards. This role supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Lead Teacher Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred EEC Teacher/Lead Teacher certification (if required by state regulations) CPR and First Aid certification Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool children Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families Knowledge of child development and early learning standards Ability to lift, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day Background check clearance required Lead Teacher Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Supervise and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides Observe and assess children's development and progress Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and needs Ensure compliance with state licensing and health/safety regulations Support children's emotional, social, and behavioral development Organize classroom schedules, routines, and transitions Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral situations
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour
