Job Description

Before and After School Preschool Teacher Position Type:
Full Time
  • 30 hours per week

Little Solutions at Pond Street Reports to:
Solutions Program Directors Salary:
$24.00 per hour
Hours and Benefits:
This is a school year position and will follow the FPS calendar. Monday
  • Thursday 6:45-9:30 AM & 2:30
  • 5:45 PM Friday
  • 6:45 AM & 12:30
  • 5:45 PM Weekly 45 minute meeting TBD Overview The Preschool Wraparound Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children 4 years of age preparing to go to Kindergarten the following school year.
This role supports preschoolers' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities,routines, and positive guidance before and after their day at ECDC. There will be two teachers with up to 20 preschoolers. Program Planning Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning through play. Day to Day Responsibility include the following: Create a welcoming environment for students and parents/guardians. Take student attendance daily; resolve any attendance conflicts. Keep accurate Solutions program attendance and submit reports when necessary. Maintain an open line of communication with Program Directors. Order materials needed for the Little Solutions program monthly. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment. Encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving in children. Communicate with families regarding their childs achievements and any concerns. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom. Support social-emotional development and appropriate social behavior. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience. Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required. Adhere to all FPS policies. Offer will be contingent upon successfully passing Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
Preschool Teacher Qualifications:
Degree in a related field is preferred, Experience working with preschool age children Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children. Strong leadership and organizational skills Computer knowledge, especially in Google First Aid/CPR/Allergy training will be provided
