English fluency is required. Basic computer skills, such as email, are important. A background check and a writing sample are required. All candidates must be documented as healthy to work with children and must be able to move freely in the classroom, including sitting on the floor. You must be able to lift a 30 pound child. Our curriculum is play-based, emotionally-sensitive, and inspired by progressive early childhood education theory. Knowledge in these areas is essential. Teachers are members of the union. •Pay scale is based upon EEC licensure and level of education We are a 12-month program, unionized, parent-cooperative, non-profit.
