About Lotus Montessori Academy Lotus Montessori Academy is a Montessori-inspired preschool in Quincy, MA serving children ages 2.9-6.

What You'll Do Each Day In this role, you will help children feel safe, connected, and engaged after their school day.
You will:
Supervise and support children in a warm, structured aftercare environment Facilitate Montessori-inspired activities (art, practical life, language, science, movement, outdoor play) Support social-emotional development and positive peer interactions Encourage independence, problem-solving, and respectful communication Maintain a calm, organized, and inviting classroom space Support routines such as snack, transitions, and outdoor time Share meaningful observations and updates with families Work closely with teaching staff to ensure consistency and care across the day What Makes This Role Different This is not a babysitting job. This is a purpose-driven early childhood role in a Montessori environment where: Children are trusted as capable learners Educators are respected as professionals Relationships matter as much as academics The environment is calm, intentional, and child-centered You will be part of a small school community where your presence truly matters every day. What We're Looking For Experience working with young children (preschool, childcare, or early education preferred) Strong understanding of child development and positive behavior guidance Interest in Montessori education (training provided or supported) Warm, patient, and reliable personality Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to create a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment Comfort working with diverse learners and backgrounds Preferred (Not Required) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Montessori training or classroom experience CPR and First Aid certification What We Offer $18
