In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for working with children will help foster their growth, curiosity, and social skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and childcare. This position is based in a home daycare. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play Support children with their activities, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and comfortable during classroom time Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment suitable for toddlers, preschoolers, or infants Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, mealtimes, nap times, and transitions between activities Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation Assist with basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed Collaborate with team members to monitor each child's progress and communicate any concerns to supervisors or parents Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different age groups including infants, toddlers, or preschoolers Join us in creating a joyful learning space where children thrive!
