Duties:

• Encourage relational learning and ensure children have and make choices.
• Create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
• Foster a positive, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures each person's confidence.
• Ensuring that the child's daily routine is planned with the child's parent(s)/guardian and in accordance with MA EEC Standards.
• Monitor and assess child progress daily and provide quarterly written assessments to parents/guardians.
• Mentor and evaluate teaching assistants who support the children and classroom.
• Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Maintain a safe, organized and healthy environment to ensure compliance with MA DPH Standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required (Early Childhood Education or related field - preferred).
• Min. 2 years prior teaching experience working with 0 - 7-year-olds as a teacher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with college students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of positive psychology and managing challenging behaviors.
• Experience with assessment tools and writing progress reports.
• Program delivered in English, ability to write well in English.
• We welcome educators who speak and write in a second language or ASL.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
