In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children feel supported while developing socially, emotionally, and academically. Responsibilities Foster positive social, emotional, and cognitive development Follow all center policies and state licensing regulations Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in line with early childhood education standards. Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Manage classroom activities effectively by maintaining organized lesson plans, facilitating engaging lessons, and overseeing daily routines. Employ behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive classroom environment that promotes learning, safety, and child welfare. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address concerns transparently. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and preschoolers. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation where appropriate while fostering a love of learning. Knowledge of childcare regulations, child welfare standards, and best practices in daycare settings.
