Educational Assistant - Integrated Preschool Wilmington Public Schools - 3.8 Wilmington, MA Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Behavior management for students with special needs Working with individuals with disabilities Early childhood education Assisting with ADLs Direct support Working with students with special education needs Data collection IEP implementation Collaborative teaching Entry level Full Job Description We are seeking an Education Assistant at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center to support students with andwithout disabilities in achieving their educational goals. The Educational Assistant will be responsible for thefollowing:
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing academic, social, and emotional/behavioral interventionswithin the general education classroom or any other setting within the school where instruction may beoccurring. Provide students with a variety of supports (academic, social, and emotional/behavioral) with learningactivities developed by the classroom teacher to meet the varied and individual needs of each student. Support the classroom teacher in delivering academic, social, and emotional/behavioral interventions inthe general education classroom and other instructional settings. Work with students individually and insmall groups to enhance learning outcomes. Collect data on students progress toward academic, social, and emotional/behavioral goals to informongoing assessment, IEP goals, and instructional planning. Assist classroom teacher by implementing student accommodations according to individual IEP. Perform diaper changing or assistance with toileting. Work collaboratively with special education, classroom teacher, support staff, and grade levelcolleagues. Participate in meetings, Safety Care training, and professional development opportunities as assigned bythe building or district administration.
