REPORTS TO
Building Principal
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
Teaching and supervision of students in the Early Childhood Education Technical Program. Instruction and planning to be in line with state frameworks, PRINCIPAL
RESPONSIBILITIES
(to be included along with other responsibilities) 1. The development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies. 2. The planning, developing and integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate. 3. Maintaining the preschool program with the teaching staff according to standards, philosophy. 4. Facilitate the learning of high school students through live teaching in the laboratory preschool. 5. Planning with the staff of the ECE program for the implementation of changes in the curriculum and or new developments in the program. 6. Providing input in faculty/team performance evaluation of students at the end of each marking period for grading purposes. 7. Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability. 8. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education 2. MA DESE teacher license in Early Childhood Education 9-14, Chapter 74 or ability to obtain within 1 year. 3. MA Early Education and Care Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year. 4. SEI Endorsement 5. Three years minimum successful experience as an early childhood instructor 6. Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies with the curriculum frameworks. 7. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques. 8. Evidence of educational leadership 9. Competent in computer applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Advanced educational preparation. 2. Evidence of educational leadership. 3. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs. 4. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.

SALARY:
Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree with the potential to increase dependent on the highest level of education.
