In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where infants and toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. Your expertise in early childhood education will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, fostering development across physical, emotional, social, and cognitive domains. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a vibrant educational community. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development for infants and toddlers. Provide attentive toddler care by meeting individual needs for feeding, diapering, nap times, and health monitoring. Apply classroom management techniques to maintain a positive, respectful environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Use behavior management strategies to support children's emotional regulation and social skills development. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences. Incorporate early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services. Maintain detailed documentation of developmental progress, lesson plans, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards. Foster a love of learning through engaging activities that integrate literacy education, physical education, and Montessori methods when appropriate. Ensure health and safety protocols are consistently followed to create a secure environment for all children. Qualifications Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including special education needs and early intervention techniques. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Experience with childcare practices such as toddler care routines, diapering procedures, and health monitoring. Familiarity with teaching physical education activities and implementing literacy education initiatives for young children. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; Montessori training or preschool experience is a plus. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and developmental needs of children.
