Pre-K Lead Teacher

PreK/Infant Toddler Job Description Rockstar Prep 4 Kids, Inc. an early learning center in Prince Georges County, Maryland is seeking qualified individuals to work in our Pre K program. We are currently in search of passionate and enthusiastic Teachers to join our child care team. Teacher's will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate environment for the children in their group, and for developing programs that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of children in their care. Establishing and maintaining a classroom carefully curated to feature STEAM-inspired toys and teaching tools, to prepare children for elementary school and future challenges. Creating a community-oriented experience for our families inspiring children to be lifelong learners. Ensuring the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards. MUST be certified in Pre-K Assisting as a lead teacher in both our Clinton & Landover location when needed The successful candidate will work closely with the director, aides and other center staff to meet the individual needs of the children in their programs as well as the families and school community. Job Requirements:

Current First Aid and CPR certifications Must have prior experience working with children w/references Ability to develop engaging learning activities and lesson plans for children utilizing technology Basic Health and Safety Training Pass MSDE approved background check Pass drug test upon hire and random testing Complete MSDE medical with no restrictions Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs Have reliable transportation to the assigned shift Participation each year in MSDE Credentialing program AND credential at a Level 1 or higher Actively participate in the physical set-up and breakdown of the center each shift: Lift a minimum of 25 lbs Move furniture/equipment carts to and from storage area High school diploma, certificate of high school equivalency, or Successful completion of college courses for credit 6 semester, 90 clock hours, CDA or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent of approved Pre K & Infant/Toddler coursework MUST be certified in Pre-K 1+ year preschoolers in an approved setting At least 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents and the public or college transcript 3 clock hours in ADA Compliance Basic Health & Safety Medication Administration OCC Evaluation (orange card) or a letter of experience from previous employer
