Job Description

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher for our 4's classroom to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will inspire young learners through engaging lessons, nurturing their social and emotional development, and fostering a positive classroom environment. Your expertise in childhood development, curriculum development, and classroom management will help create a safe, stimulating space where children can explore, learn, and grow. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children while working in a supportive and dynamic setting. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic child development. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, fostering positive interactions among children. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by accurately documenting incidents and maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate with special education professionals to support children requiring early intervention or additional support services. Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate standardized testing where appropriate to assess developmental milestones and learning outcomes. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children, including toddlers and those in special education programs. Proven classroom management skills to create an organized, engaging learning environment. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education services. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and external professionals. Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education techniques, and teaching physical education activities. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare settings. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
