Early Childhood Teacher

St. John's Parish Day School, an Episcopal school rooted in whole child education, is seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher for the 2026 to 2027 school year. We are seeking educators who understand the importance of creating joyful, engaging learning experiences that support the academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of young children. Our Early Childhood program serves children in a warm and welcoming environment where play, exploration, creativity, and relationship building are central to learning. Classrooms are grounded in a Responsive Classroom approach, fostering strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping children develop confidence, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning while partnering closely with families and colleagues.

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Assess student growth and communicate progress with families
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and program development
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
