Job Description

Overview Young Horizons School is opening a brand-new location in White Marsh, MD and is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Infant and Toddler classrooms. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early childhood professional who is eager to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and engaging classroom. Hourly rate is based on education, certifications, and experience. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support each child's growth and development Observe children daily to assess skills, interests, and needs, and use insights to guide instruction Implement the curriculum with fidelity and intentionality Maintain strong, professional communication with families and build positive relationships Collaborate with Teacher Aides to plan and execute weekly lessons and activities Stay current with best practices in Early Childhood Education Support the Center Director with onboarding and training of new staff, substitutes, and volunteers Qualifications 45-hour Infant/Toddler Certification (Required) 45-hour Growth & Development Certification (Required) Minimum 2 years of experience in an Infant/Toddler classroom (Required) CPR Certification (Preferred) Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Infant/Toddler experience: 2 years (Required) Bachelor's or Associate's Degree (Preferred)
