Company Overview White Marsh Child Care Center has been a dedicated provider of early childhood education and care since 1984. Located on a spacious ten-acre campus, WMCC offers a vibrant environment with multiple outdoor play areas, a swimming pool, sports court, and splash pad, all designed to foster active learning and development. The center is fully accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education and holds a top rating in local quality assessment systems. Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Preschool Art Teacher to inspire creativity and support the artistic development of young children. In this role, you will design engaging art activities that promote fine motor skills, self-expression, and cognitive growth. You will work closely with children in a nurturing environment that emphasizes early childhood education principles, classroom management, and inclusive practices for diverse learners. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate art curricula that align with early childhood education standards and foster creativity. Facilitate hands-on art projects that enhance motor skills, literacy, and emotional expression among preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support children's social-emotional development through encouraging self-expression and constructive feedback during art activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration. Experience Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in educational or childcare settings is required. Degree in Early Childhood, Art, or Related Field Required Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for early childhood education, especially in arts integration. Knowledge of classroom management techniques tailored for young learners. Experience with special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Background in childcare or daycare environments with preschool experience preferred.
