In this role, you will create a vibrant, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help foster a love of learning in toddlers, supporting their development across various domains including literacy, motor skills, and social interaction. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles tailored for toddlers. Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and social-emotional growth. Support early intervention strategies to assist children with special educational needs or developmental delays. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Promote literacy education through storytelling, singing, and interactive activities that enhance language skills. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to childcare standards and child welfare practices. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support each child's individual growth plan. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, assessments, and daily activities for ongoing evaluation. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices. Experience in classroom management and lesson planning within preschool or daycare settings. Familiarity with curriculum development, including Montessori methods or other educational frameworks suited for toddlers. Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and positively. Proficiency in managing classroom behavior using age-appropriate strategies. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessments is a plus. Experience in teaching physical education or incorporating movement activities into daily routines. Commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
