Position SummaryThe Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and management of a high-quality early childhood classroom. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth. Key Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards Lead daily classroom activities, including literacy, play-based learning, and structured instruction Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, behavior, and milestones Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers and classroom aides Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and daycare policies Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and redirection strategies Core Competencies Classroom management Curriculum development Leadership and team supervision Child assessment and documentation
